The book of Job is easily one of my favorite books of the bible because its a real honest and raw portrait of human suffering. Sure, none of us want to experience the kind of loss Job experienced, but any loss will do.
the loss of a parent
a friend
or even the family dog,
pain is jarring but pain is painfully human
however, when we suffer, and we will, we should always look to the one whose original vision for the world was a place without pain, without fear, without tears.
The only one who can replace all that we ever lost
two times over
“After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.”
Job 42:10
God is good
Now and forevermore
